Chronological Biography

1990:

Estefanía Suissa starts studying flamenco and modern dance in Paris.

1993:

First intensive course in Seville at the Manolo Marín Academy.

1994:

Examined from the “Ecole Supérieure du Spectacle de Paris” (ESS) after a three year professional training in dance, theatre, singing and choreographic technique.

She leaves for Seville where she starts her flamenco studies with Andrés Marín.

1995/1999:

She goes to teach in Helsinki and participates as solo dancer in a flamenco performance with artists from Jerez de la Frontera: "El Londro", Fernando Galán… for a tour in Finland.

She returns to Seville, and later on gets the Scholarship Lavoisier (French Foreign Ministry) in order to improve her “baile”.

Until 1999 she resides in Seville. During these years she studies with Andrés Marín, Juana Amaya, Antonio Canales, Eva Yerbabuena, Carmen Ledesma, Mario Maya. She gets her own dance studio and starts studying with El Torombo, and becomes his assistant for his classes.

She dances for the first time in Seville at the “Sala-mandra”with young Seville artists: Luis Peña, Natalia Marín, "El Fity" and Manolo Brenes (Jr.).

1999:

She returns to Paris to perform for two months at Planète Andalucía and starts her collaboration with Daniel Manzanas and Alberto Garcia.

2000:

She takes part of "Cid Flamenco" a performance directed by Thomas le Douarec, in which she dances for three months at Théâtre Antoine in Paris and then on tour throughout the year in France, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Besides, she continues her soloist career in several peñas flamenco in France and in Europe.

2001/2002:

Enrique Muriel (guitarist) proposes a first personal project to which the singer Alberto García joins in: De Mosaico. This performance is presented at the Grand Amphithéâtre at the Sorbonne, Festival Flamenco of Berlin and at the Festival Flamenco of Fribourg.

2003:

In April she dances in the first part in the performance of Paquera de Jerez at the Festival Rencontres de Toulouse.

She takes part of the flamenco group Paseo, founded by the guitarist Daniel Manzanas and presented at the Festival Don Quixote. She also participates to his recording of Azabache.

2004:

She dances with Paseo at the Rencontres Flamencos (salle Nougaro à Toulouse).

Solo dancer in the performance of the Seville dancer El Torombo: “La fragua, los cuatro elementos” .

2005:

In the performance Noche flamenca she dances in the first part of Las Tres mil Viviendas at the Festival Flamenco of Gimont.

Festival Flamenco of Lyon with Azabache.

First solo for "Etats de F'âme",at the Maison Daniel Ferry in Nanterre.

2006:

Soloist in a new performance of El Torombo "Sembrar…así sentimos" at the Düsseldorf Flamenco Festival.

She dances in the performance Flamen'ka at the Espace Cardin.

Soloist dancer in the performance Flamencoriental at the Institut of Monde Arabe (artistic director: Bernard Abitbol with Daniel Manzanas, Manuel Gutierrez…)

"Etats de F'âme" (solo).

Master class and performance in Varsovie (Polen).

She starts working on her first own creation.

2007:

New solo for "Etats de F'âme".

She presents her first own creation “Flamenco…entre nosotros” in Saint-Germain lés Arpajons.

2008:

She participates in “Flamen’ka Nueva” at Casino de Paris and at the Théâtre des Folies Bergère.

She dances at the Festival of Avignon in a performance of Jean-Philippe Bruttmann.

In November the performance “Flamenco…entre nosotros” is programmed in the Hivernales Flamencas at the Municipal Theater of Béziers.

2010:

She performs her own show "Flamenco...entre nosotros" in the Festival Flamenco de Toulouse.
